Obituary for Althea Michael (Michael)

Althea Michael , 91 Mar 17, 1929 - Apr 4, 2019 Althea Michael, 91, of Hagerstown, MD, died Friday, April 6, 2019 at the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV. She was born March 17, 1929 in Daytona Beach, FL to the late Mr. Leroy DeBerry and Ms. Evelyn Michael. Ms. Michael was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War,serving as a Medical Technician with the Women's Army Corps. She later worked in New York and Florida and did private duty nursing for many years. She was a member of the Praying Times Ministries, Greencastle, PA. Ms. Michael also serves as president of the Tenant Association, Washington County Housing Authority. She is survived by a daughter, Tamara S. Randall, and a son, Collis Walton, both of Hagerstown, MD, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10:00 am. at the Harman Funeral Home 305 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740, where Military honors will be conducted by the Hagerstown Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. Condolences to the family may be made at www.potomaccremation.com
