Obituary for Tammy Sue Grubbs (Grubbs)

Tammy Sue Grubbs, 57, of Hagerstown, MD died Friday, August 30, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family after a hard fought battle with lung cancer.
She was born on May 19, 1962 in Frederick, MD and was the daughter of the late Robert E. Grubbs, Jr. and the late Mary Lee Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Robert & Pauline Grubbs.
She is survived by a son, Joshua Grubbs, and his fiancée, Meghan Murphy; a daughter, Jennifer Rice, and her fiancée, Paul Ostrosky, Jr; three grandchildren whom she adored, DeSean Grubbs, Kingslee Grubbs, and Kimber Grubbs. She is also survived by two sisters, Robin Laumann and husband, Doug, Renee Weston and her brother, Jerry Simons, Jr, along with several nieces and nephews.
Tammy had many friends and was loved by so many people. She would open up her heart and home to those in need and will be missed by so many.
A celebration of life will be held at the Owl’s Club in Hagerstown, MD on Saturday, Sept. 7th from 4-8 pm. Inurnment will take place on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019 at 3:00 at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD with Pastor Jennie Smith presiding.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help defray the cost or to Hospice of Washington County. Expressions of sympathy may also be offered to the family at Potomac Valley Cremation Center.
