Obituary for Carl Elvin Ridenour

Carl Elvin Ridenour, age 88 of Hagerstown, MD, died at home, Wednesday, November 13, 2019 with his wife of 62 years, Julia (Judy) Marie (Fahrney) Ridenour, by his side.

He was born in Ringgold, MD on March 2, 1931. He was the son of the late Columbus and Harriet Gunn Ridenour.

Carl served in the Marines during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient.

He was an over-the -road truck driver for more than 40 years and prior to that was part owner of Huyetts Service Center.

In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters, Cheryl and John Gates, Diana and David Millstein, Robin Aronhalt and David Baker, Susan Grove and Lynn Shank.. He is survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Richard Ridenour of Hagerstown .

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Byron Memorial Park Community Building, 11 Park Road, Williamsport, MD 21795
