Obituary for Bettye Brown Williams

Bettye Jayne Williams (nee Brown), 92 died on March 2, 2020. She was a native Washingtonian born in June 1927. She graduated from McKinley Technical High School and worked as a photographer’s model and secretary until her marriage to Arthur J. Williams, Jr. in 1949. She was a member of Gateway Church in Williamsport, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years. She is survived by three daughters, Kathy W. Canzona of Annapolis, MD, Carol J. Eichelberger and Della Weichert both of Myersville, MD. She is also survived by a “son,” as she called him, Brett Deschapelles, of Williamsport, MD, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the old sanctuary of Gateway Church March 12 at 7 pm, with a greeting time starting at 6 pm.
